ROTARY CELEBRATION HIGHLIGHTS November 1, 2022:  Fall Membership Appreciation Lunch
It was a raucous and happy crowd of Rotarians and guests attending via Zoom or in person inside the Anzu Restaurant at the Hotel Nikko that President Christopher Wiseman (Nonprofit Management | Glaucoma Research Foundation) called to order at 12:15 PM. Today's event was a Fall Membership Appreciation Lunch.
 
Visiting Rotarians and Guests
Today's Visiting Rotarians were Tekwane Mwendwa from Nairobi and Carrie Schucker from a Rotary club in Davis. Maureen O'Shea (Governmental Relations | Retired) introduced her neighbor, Rae Sansa. Margaret Miley (Hospitality: Hotels | Retired) introduced her guest, Robert Hunter, who was the stage manager for our Club's first fashion show on October 18, 2022. Bob Hermann (Information Technology: Administration | Retired UCSF) introduced Don Morrison, who has helped us over the years with our Bike Build Program. Ann Daugherty (Financial Services: Private Trading | IBN Financial Services) introduced her guest, Ken Tang. President Christopher introduced his husband, Eric Sleigh. We also welcomed Patricia Davico.

SERVICE PROJECT November 7, 2022: Delivering Meals for The Arc San Francisco
Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver to individual residences of Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be provided when you pick up the meals. Hand delivery of meals must occur between 4 PM and 5:30 PM in advance of the Monday Night Dinner Club with Friends Like Me via Zoom to be held on the first and third Monday of each month.
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON November 8, 2022: John Rothmann and Election Day 2022
KGO 810 radio talk show host and political commentator John Rothmann, one of our most popular speakers, will discuss his thoughts about Election Day 2022 and other current political events. John always welcomes our questions.

Hear from Emily Borland, Vice President of Community Service, about the many volunteer opportunities open to you and all the community service projects that our Club supports. Whether you are new or returning, everyone is welcome!
 
CLUB SOCIAL November 13, 2022: Our Rotary Club's Friendsgiving
Bring in the holiday season early by joining us for our Rotary Club's Friendsgiving with lots of food, drink, games, and Rotary fellowship. This event is open to all Rotarians from the Rotary Club of San Francisco, their families, and guests. Registration is limited to 35 people. The deadline to register is November 10, 2022. Don't miss out! 
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON November 15, 2022: Meet the Hotel Chef
Have you ever wondered what happens in the kitchen on a Tuesday at the Hotel Nikko? Join us as President Christopher interviews the Hotel Chef. This is an opportunity to find out how the Hotel kitchen works, and how we can be a good cook too!
 
Thanksgiving at The Arc: November 22, 2022
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, it's time for one of our most popular service projects - Thanksgiving at The Arc San Francisco - to begin again! In the spirit of giving thanks, Rotarians will gather to provide a Thanksgiving feast for participants at The Arc SF. Many hands are needed; please sign up to help. This is the only Thanksgiving celebration for many of the people we serve that day. And they are most appreciative.
 
SERVICE PROJECT December 8, 2022: Diaper Bag Assembly for Homeless Prenatal Program
Join us at this service opportunity to stuff diaper bags and organize diapers and wipes for giveaway to clients of the Homeless Prenatal Program. We will meet at an open-air warehouse to allow social distancing while stuffing the bags and organizing the goods. Participation is limited to 10 people, so sign up early. Facial mask is required. 
 
SERVICE PROJECT December 10, 2022: Rotary Meadow Restoration
Come and enjoy nature, fresh air, and fellowship while helping Sutro Stewards seed and restore Rotary Meadow - a garden of native plants our Club planted at the summit of Mount Sutro in 2004. Participation is limited to a maximum of 20 members of our Club. Advanced registration is required.
