E-MEETING Highlights for June 8, 2021: Mary Liu and Serve to Change Lives

At this meeting, we celebrated the success of the 12th Annual Bike Build and thanked Bill Poppen (Banking: Management | MUFG Union Bank) for leading this event.
 
President-Elect Mary Liu (Real Estate: Sales | JM Real Estate Group | Vanguard Properties) and the incoming Board of Directors presented the annual Club Assembly. They shared their plans and goals for the upcoming year. This meeting via Zoom was recorded. The recording will be shared with you when it becomes available.

ROTARY CLIMATE ACTION NETWORK  June 17, 2021:  Ann Hayden: Water Challenges & Opportunities
3% of the planet's water is drinkable, and the vast majority is in glaciers that are shrinking into the oceans. Ann Hayden will share incentive-based approaches that ensure adequate water for freshwater ecosystems, improve agriculture’s resilience to climate change, and address the water needs of disadvantaged communities. Advanced registration required. Connection instructions will be provided to all who register.
 
SERVICE PROJECT June 21, 2021: Delivering Meals for The Arc San Francisco
Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver to individual residences of Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be provided when you pick up the meals. Hand delivery of meals must occur between 4 PM and 5:30 PM in advance of the Monday Night Dinner Club with Friends Like Me via Zoom to be held on the first and third Monday of each month.
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON June 22, 2021: Debunking President JT Forbus
It's time to thank President JT for a job well done at the traditional "debunking". Come and find out what President-Elect Nominee Christopher Wiseman has planned to help us forever remember President JT as we say THANK YOU at the last Luncheon Meeting of his challenging year as Club President. This meeting will also be the first one held in person for our Club since the start of the pandemic.
 
Club Picnic June 26, 2021: Celebration for Presidents  Casey and JT, New Members, and Our Year Together
Join us to show Presidents Casey and JT our appreciation for their leadership during the pandemic. We will congratulate our new members in person, and salute the many fine accomplishments of the Club this year. All members, guests, and their families are welcome. However, you must register by Tuesday, June 22, 2021 to reserve a spot. 
 
SERVICE PROJECT June 28, 2021:  Volunteering for RotaCare Northern Peninsula
Join the Rotary Club of Daly City/Colma Evening, the Rotary Club of Pacifica, and the Rotary Club of San Francisco to distribute RotaCare Northern Peninsula flyers during a drive-through food distribution hosted by Second Harvest and coordinated by the Daly City Partnership. There is also a choice to participate in the food distribution. Advanced registration is required.
 
 
No Meeting on July 6, 2021
In honor of the Independence Day holiday weekend, there is no Rotary Luncheon on July 6, 2021. Our first meeting for the Rotary year 2021-2022 will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
