Daylight savings ended today at 2 AM. We gained an extra hour, and today's issue of Grindings has extra stories and news for you to read and enjoy.

We began a new column entitled "Members in the News" and invite you to share your professional, personal, or Rotary milestones with our members.

In this issue, you will find a list of those members celebrating their birthday in November 2020 as well as a list of members celebrating their anniversary in our Club in November. Help us keep these lists accurate by updating your information on ClubRunner.

We are excited that two people have been accepted for membership into our Club and welcome Brian Lan as our VP of PR and Communications.

Christopher Wiseman wrote about the 50/50 Campaign. Be sure to read his story and find the answers to your questions. Bob Hermann shared about the recent Road Rally to END POLIO NOW! Be sure to check the link to view all of the photos and videos of that day.

Volunteer Opportunities
See here for ways to help Catholic Charities and serve the community. Deliver pre-packaged dinners to The Arc San Francisco clients who are experiencing food insecurity on either November 2 or November 16 or both. We are participating again in the Alzheimer's Walk; this year the walk is on November 7, and you can choose where to walk. Just in are two opportunities to join the First Five Rotary Clubs' service project to help the homeless on either November 7 or November 14 or both.

In addition to the above activities, our Club calendar lists committee meetings, our regular meetings on Tuesdays, and a social event on November 18. Our Educational Series continues. See here for the program on November 5.

Registration is required for all events so that we can send you details such as connection information. Open the doors and join our Rotary family in these opportunities and many more to come.
