September 28, 2021 Board Highlights
The Board met on September 28, 2021 with enough Board members in attendance to achieve quorum. The first Board meeting was that of the Rotary Club of San Francisco.

Treasurer Gary Dales reviewed the August 2021 financial statements. While he did not have any immediate concerns, our attendance at in-person meetings had been lighter than budgeted. In addition, many members still have not paid their annual dues. It was suggested that members be reminded to pay their dues invoice.

Christopher Wiseman and President Mary gave an update on the Blue Angels' Viewing Party. Given that the Academy of Art University was covering all of the food and drinks, the ticket price was dropped accordingly. Sponsorship opportunities were discussed.

It was announced that the Holiday Party and Annual Meeting were set for December 14, 2021 at the Feinstein Lounge of the Hotel Nikko.

The Board approved an initiative to plant a tree through the Friends of the Forest for any Club member who passes away after July 1, 2021. The Club will cover the costs associated with the tree planting.

Membership VP Nancy Graydon presented applications for two candidates for membership: Barbara Streett and Anna Klink. Barbara is a corporate member with The Arc SF and Anna was introduced to the Club by Past President Casey Blair.

Dan Davies was selected as the October 2021 Rotarian of the Month.

When the Rotary Club board meeting adjourned, the Rotary Service, Inc. (RSI) meeting commenced. Treasurer Gary again reviewed RSI's financial statements.

Following the RSI meeting, the VPs of the Club Board then gave updates on their various committees. The meeting thereafter adjourned.
