Wow! What a day of service or shall we say a few hours of service that provided the foundation for additional aid to those in need of nutritional food. Under project leader Maureen O’Shea, with support from the Community Service Committee of the Rotary Club of San Francisco and Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Peninsula Starlight, the Rotary Club of San Francisco Castro, and the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown, a total of 22 individuals tackled over a dozen pallets and packaged over 20K pounds of fruit.

This yeoman’s task undertaken by Rotary would ultimately be used for individual, family, and Food Pantry distribution where those with food insecurities would have nourishment and support during these challenging times. See these photos for a sampling of the fun and fellowship shared as we listened to 1980s music while packaging boxes, moving boxes to pallets for further distribution, and knowing the benefits to thousands of needy families and individuals in our City.
