Bob Hermann retired in 2018. He had worked as an Information Technology Program/Project Manager for over 26 years in health care projects including electronic medical systems. His family’s motto is to continually do good in the world to help others as we would want someone to help us if ever needed. The joys of giving back to others, be it through our time, our treasures, or our avocational experience, is something his family cherishes. Bob's continued hopes are to be transparent with work, engage and include others, and have fun while serving.

Bob’s passion to help others extended to the far reaches of Egypt to provide non-clinical support in helping pediatric patients with cleft lip and palate surgeries and recoveries to the domestic leadership of RotaCare and its Electronic Medical Record implementations.
More recently, Bob’s community service was recognized by the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors for his role on our Club’s signature Bike Build Project in June 2021 and by UCSF retirees where he received the 2021 Frances Larragueta Community Service Award, given annually to an individual who has demonstrated commitment to community service.

Bob joined our Club on December 12, 2017 and the Board in July 2020. His goals as our Vice President of Community Service are: Inclusion, Invitation, and Collaboration with the Board and our Club. In 2022, he plans to have our Emergency Services Day project to honor the service men and women in our City who have gone above and beyond in their work in our community. Said Bob, "This next year, we are hopeful to include some healthcare professionals to personally thank them for their service in our great City and County of San Francisco."
