ROTARY CLUB OF SAN FRANCISCO
The Board of the Rotary Club of San Francisco met on June 30, 2020; a quorum was present. Also in attendance were past president John Mathers; the following incoming Board members:  Susan Dean, Bob Hermann, Terry Pickering, and Christopher Wiseman; and the following members:  David Dye and Sunny Singh.

The Board reviewed the upcoming events in the Club as listed on today’s Board agenda.
 
CLUB ADMINISTRATION
The Board reviewed and approved the minutes for May 26, 2020 prepared by Dora. 

Gary presented the Treasurer’s report and discussed the highlights on the current Balance Sheet and the Statement of Operations. On the Accounts Receivable report, Gary discussed the outstanding dues. The Board approved the Treasurer's report.
 
MEMBERSHIP
The Board discussed how the current process to bill members for dues could be improved and decided that Gary would bill and monitor members for dues going forward.

Dan announced that three members had moved and left our Club, and another member had passed away. Dora updated the membership records for both our Club and Rotary International.

The Board then considered the members with outstanding dues. After discussion, the Board voted to terminate two members.
 
APPOINTMENTS TO FILL BOARD VACANCIES
The 2020-2021 Board had two vacancies:  Vice President of Youth Development and Vice President of Vocational Service. President-elect JT nominated David Dye for Vice President of Youth Development and Sunny Singh for Vice President of Vocational Service; the Board approved both David and Sunny for their one-year, appointed position.
 
MEETING WITH MEMBERS OVER THE AGE OF 60
JT gave a report on his recent Zoom meeting with Club members over the age of 60. Most of these members wanted to return to in-person luncheons once the Sir Francis Drake Hotel reopened and safety protocols were put in place. 
 
OTHER MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION
John Mathers gave an update on the Proposed Inequality and Racism Program proposed by all the Rotary Clubs in San Francisco.  
 
Lynn presented his plan to advance the Action Leadership Program for Students (ALPS) and apply for a fellowship program. The Board approved Lynn's plan and agreed to support Lynn as he engages in the fellowship program.
 
Dora led a discussion on the Club’s historical records stored at the business of one of our members. The Board agreed that we should digitize the contents as soon as possible.
 
THANK YOU
President Casey thanked the entire Board for their support and a productive Rotary year. Each of the outgoing Board members also had an opportunity to express their thoughts and appreciation.

ROTARY SERVICE, INC.
The Board of Rotary Service, Inc. met on June 30, 2020; a quorum was present. Also in attendance were the following members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco:  Susan Dean, David Dye, Bob Hermann, Terry Pickering, Sunny Singh, and Christopher Wiseman.
 
ADMINISTRATION
The Board reviewed the minutes for May 26, 2020 prepared by Dora and made comments and changes. The Board approved these minutes as amended.

The Board also reviewed and approved the minutes prepared by Dora for Board action taken without a meeting on June 14-16, 2020. 

Gary presented the Treasurer’s report and discussed the highlights on the current Balance Sheet and the Statement of Activity. The Board discussed holding another $20 for Twenty Seconds to benefit the wait staff at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.

Dora and David presented proposed changes to the Bylaws of Rotary Service, Inc. along with a timeline. They asked for comments by or before July 18, 2020.
 
INTERACT
Mary presented solutions to better manage the Interact accounts of Lowell High School and George Washington High School. A discussion followed about repurposing those accounts and creating an account for the Interact Club at St. Ignatius College Preparatory high school. The Board approved the return of amounts that belonged to the Interact Clubs at Lowell High School and George Washington High School.
 
ACTION LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS (ALPS)
Lynn presented his plan to advance ALPS and apply for a fellowship program. The Board approved Lynn's plan and agreed to support Lynn as he engages in the fellowship program.
