Rotary Club of San Francisco
The Board of Directors met on January 25, 2022 for the first Board meeting of the year. The meeting was called to order by Past President JT Forbus at 12 noon as President Mary Liu was under the weather. The Board reviewed and approved the November 30, 2021 minutes with a few amendments.

Treasurer Gary Dales reviewed the December 2021 financial statements. The Club remains in a strong financial position. Certain Board members are reaching out to members who have yet to pay their 2021-22 dues.

President-Elect Christopher Wiseman gave an update on the Hotel Nikko’s cancellation policy for the in-person meetings that have to be canceled. As we have a 25-person minimum, the cancellation fee is $1,000 per meeting. The Board also agreed that the $10 fee for attendance via Zoom would be waived if attendance via Zoom is the only option.

Board members were reminded that the February 15, 2022 meeting is a Club Assembly, and each VP should be prepared to speak about the work of their committee.

The Board then voted on Rotarian of the Month for February 2022 and selected Lynn Luckow.

VP of Membership Nancy Graydon presented two candidates for membership. Ozan Yasavur and Wendy Shew were approved.

VP of International Service Ed Shenkan requested that our Club join the Centennial Circle of Rotary Clubs (CCRC). This is a collaboration of clubs that have celebrated their centennial anniversary. The cost is $100 to join. Benefits include increased international fellowship. President Mary pointed out that we already have relationships with many of these clubs from our association with the First Five Rotary Clubs in the world, our Shanghai sister city relationship, and our Club’s international projects.

The Club meeting was adjourned at 1:05 PM
