For nearly 25 years, Roots of Peace, a humanitarian non-profit, has worked to cultivate peace through agriculture in war-torn lands worldwide. Now, they have expanded their business model for peace to include the Western Highlands of Guatemala seeking the "root" cause for out-migration in the Northern Triangle of Guatemala. Instead of investing in higher walls at the U.S. border, the Kuhn Rotarians seek to build longer tables so that families may stay home with the dignity to break bread with fruits grown in their homeland and income from exports to international markets.
