Rotary Club of San Francisco
The Board of Directors met on February 22, 2022. A quorum was present, and Jeff Lerner attended as a guest. The Board reviewed and approved the Minutes from the January 25, 2022 Board Meeting.
Treasurer Gary Dales presented the January 2022 Treasurer's Report, noting that the Club was still in a strong financial position. The Board began to discuss the need for a second set of eyes to review the Club's financial books, but discussion was tabled until best practices could be determined.
The Board voted on Rotarian of the Month for March 2022 and selected Bill Poppen.
President Mary introduced Jeff Lerner as the new Vice President of Club Service, taking over for Michael Petricca who was the interim VP. Jeff’s appointment began on March 1, 2022. Michael was thanked for his service and support of the Club.

Rotary Service, Inc. (RSI)
President Mary Liu called the Board meeting to order. A quorum was present, and Jeff Lerner was appointed to replace Michael Petricca. The Board of Trustees reviewed and approved the January 25, 2022 minutes and January 2022 financial statements.
The Trustees began to discuss the need for a second set of eyes to review RSI's financial books, but discussion was tabled until best practices could be determined. Treasurer Gary Dales and San Francisco Rotary Foundation President Dan Joraanstad answered questions regarding the Action Leadership Program for Students (ALPS) and its funding.
The Board of Trustees approved the International Committee's recommendation to fund an H2OpenDoors' project with District Designated Funds that were returned last year due to an unfunded project in Uganda.
The Board of Trustees approved a grant request from Stephanie Schmautz to sponsor the District 5150 Rotary Day of Service at the $2,500-level. This event will be held on April 9, 2022, and the theme is Protecting the Environment. Our sponsorship will help acquire permits and provide lunch and T-shirts to the volunteers.
