Proud father President JT Forbus shared his daughter's Thanksgiving prayer for our Club. The words by Leia Forbus, age 8, were very touching.
Next, we recognized today as Giving Tuesday. President JT showed that we had achieved $76,000 in the 50/50 Campaign. The goal is $100,000.

The Club celebrated Harold Hoogasian (Retail: Florist | Hoogasian Flowers) as Rotarian of the Month. See full story here. Harold joined to thank the Club for this recognition and to encourage us to support Rotary everyday.

Eric Schmautz (Banking: Management | Wells Fargo) joined to report on how our Club celebrated Thanksgiving 2020 with The Arc San Francisco. See full story and photos here. Unfortunately, we could not serve the Salvation Army this year.
Rotary Climate Action Team
We watched a video entitled "The Climate Minute on Carbon Tax". John Mathers (Management Consulting | eVo Associates) joined to urge everyone to take the message from the video seriously and take care of our environment. He was concerned that there has been some backsliding.

New Baby
Christopher Eggers (Building Security | Clavus Group) and his wife welcomed their new daughter, Amelia Bell Eggers, born on November 29, 2020.
Guest SpeakerAnita Stangl (Medical Services | Alliance for Smiles) introduced today's speaker, Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, president of the San Francisco SPCA. Dr. Scarlett led off with a quiz on the history of Macy's and the SPCA. She described how the beloved Macy's Holiday Windows were different this year in response to the limitations created by COVID-19. Instead of live animals, the animals are shown via video. Inside the story are cut-outs. Dr. Scarlett added that adoption of animals are at an all time high. President JT thanked Dr. Scarlett and announced that 100 children would be inoculated against polio in her name.
