Financial Commitment
Annual Dues
Dues are the only required cost of membership in the Rotary Club of San Francisco.
  • Annual dues are $325 for members under 35, $650 for members who are 35 or older.
  • Annual dues for two spouses or “significant others” from one household are limited to 125% of the dues for one member.
We encourage members to register in our club’s sustaining membership program, which automatically charges your credit card with your choice of
  • 1/12 of annual dues monthly.
  • 1/4 of annual dues quarterly.
  • All of your dues annually .
Luncheon Meetings
Attendance at our weekly luncheon meetings is not required. We recommend that new members attend as many luncheon meetings as possible, to meet fellow members and to better understand the club.

Most members attend at least some luncheons, only a few members attend all of them.
  • There are about 36 regular luncheon meetings each year.
  • You only pay for luncheons that you attend.
  • Individual luncheon tickets are currently $35 for members, $30 for members who register online in advance. Tickets for non-members are $40 each.
Holiday Luncheon and Annual Meeting
We encourage all members to attend the Holiday Luncheon and Annual Meeting held each December. This is where we elect incoming officers and board members, and vote on major questions such as
changes to the club’s bylaws. The cost is usually about $75-$85.

Rotary Charities
All members are encouraged to be as generous as possible to Rotary Service and The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International (TRF).
  • Rotary Service is the club’s charitable arm. It conducts all of our service projects.
  • TRF is the major foundation that supports the charitable work of all 34,000 Rotary Clubs on the planet. TRF is  widely regarded as one of the most effectively run charitable foundations in the world.
We ask each member to make at least a token contribution to both of these two charities. Most members give about $100 to each of them. Donations are tax deductible.
