Peter V. Sellars, the current Deputy Grand Master of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in San Francisco, will tell us about their history and how they give aid to those in need without recognition while pursuing projects for the benefits of all mankind.

Peter has served for ten years on the Odd Fellows Board of Directors, and As a Grand Instructor. He has written numerous historical pieces including The History of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in The City of San Francisco, Calling Out From The Past, as well as two Fiction novels, Bay City Death Squad and Motor City Death Squad. He is working on two book projects.
 
Peter is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having participated in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and retired in 1996.  He graduated from California State University- Hayward with a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. He has also taken several writing workshop classes. Peter and his wife currently reside in the San Francisco bay area.

12:15p.m. (sharp!) Meeting begins (club business first, followed by keynote speaker)
1:30p.m. Meeting adjourns (may adjourn earlier, depending on club business items)

This is a weekly membership meeting for The Rotary Club of San Francisco, open to all Rotarians, visiting Rotarians, prospective members and guests.

Each luncheon meeting includes three-course lunch from Scala's Bistro. Individual lunch tickets are $40, or purchase a book of four tickets for the discounted price of $145. Cash, check and credit card payment options available. Tickets available for purchase at the door.
